Astronaut’s Coat Hanger: Fall 2017 Design I (24-370)
In a team of 2, we were tasked to create the lightest bracket, made from acrylic, to hold a 40lb weight for at least 10 seconds.
Our first bracket weighed around 8 grams and successfully held the weight for 10 seconds.
In order to minimize mass, we changed our design. Our second bracket weighed around 2.8 grams and successfully held the weight for 10 seconds
